Hilliard City Council
Greg Betts began serving his first elected term on City Council in January 2024.
Emily Cole began serving her first elected term on City Council in January 2024.
Tina began her first four-year term as a member of Hilliard City Council in 2022 and was re-elected to a second term beginning in 2026.
Kathy Parker-Jones began serving her first elected term on City Council in January 2026.
Nadia Atway Rasul began serving her first elected term on City Council in January 2026.
Andy Teater was elected to Hilliard City Council in January 2018. Before his election, Andy was a member of Hilliard City School Board for 12 years.
Cynthia Vermillion began her first term on Hilliard City Council in January 2020.
Hilliard City Schools Board of Education
Kelley began serving on the Board of Education in January 2024. As an involved Hilliard City Schools community member for 20 years, she is committed to helping provide great educational opportunities for all our students through informed planning, sound policy creation, and engagement with our diverse stakeholders.
Kelley is a community volunteer serving as the Zoning Chair for the Far West Side Area Commission. She and her husband, Patrick Shafer, are the proud parents of two Hilliard Darby High School alumni. In her free time, Kelley enjoys genealogy research, hiking, and reading.
Sarah began serving the Hilliard City School Board of Education in January 2026. She is committed to ensuring all students receive a quality education, supporting all our teachers and staff, and fostering meaningful collaboration between the community and our schools.
Sarah is married to Wes and has 2 sons currently in the Hilliard City School District. She dedicates a lot of time volunteering in the schools and mentoring youth at her church. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and doing pilates.
Kara began serving the Hilliard City School Board of Education in January 2022. Her main goals are to provide a world class education and educational opportunities for all students, cultivate a strong relationship between the schools and the community, and create a culture that celebrates diversity across the district.
Kara is a teacher in Southwestern City Schools. She is married to Joe, a Hilliard graduate and fellow educator, and they have two children in the Hilliard City school district. In her free time, Kara enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Tony began serving on the Board of Education in January 2026. He is dedicated to ensuring that every student in our district has access to a first-class education that prepares them for success. This will be done through student first decision making, sound financial management and community engagement.
Tony is a long time Hilliard Rotarian, currently serves on the Hilliard Planning & Zoning commission and previously was a board member of the Hilliard Education Foundation. He enjoys a variety of sports, the arts and spending time with friends. He and his wife Jane have two adult children who both graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School.
Brian began serving on the Hilliard City School Board of Education in January of 2020. His main goals are to strengthen school safety, further the district’s commitment to fiscal responsibility, and to foster a district-wide culture of community. Brian believes that a safe, properly funded district that is intimately connected with the community it serves results in the best educational outcomes. Brian is also deeply committed to waste reduction and renewable energy sources.
Brian is a lifelong district resident who graduated from Hilliard Darby High School. In his spare time, Brian enjoys recreational soccer, singing, and travel.
Norwich Township Board of Trustees
Kelli Arthur Hykes was the first woman elected Norwich Township Trustee in November 2025.
Trish was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2026.
